Inuit Art Magazine Launched!

20 Dec

Front cover of the MIA's new magazine IAM
What an exciting month it has been here at the museum! We teased you with some photos and info about an upcoming games exhibition, we filmed another artist interview with Jonas Faber as part of our conversation series, AND we published a new magazine devoted to contemporary art made by Inuit!

We’re really proud of this volume, the first of our biannual publication cycle, which includes articles featuring artists  Bart Hanna, Abraham Anghik Ruben and Reneltta Arluk, information about special exhibitions such as The Brousseau Collection of Inuit Art in the Musée National des Beaux Arts du Québec and even taking you inside private collections.

Information about artists, exhibitions, and tips on how to properly conserve your own art collection are not only written in English and French, but also  Inuktitut and Inuinnaqtun.

Oh, and did I mention that you can get your own digital copy for FREE!
The 200-pages are up on the official IAM website here and you can  download your own copy here.
