This Weekend: MIA Quick Chats Schedule

15 Jul

Tomorrow, MIA is offering its first Quick Chats, which are 10-15 minute talks about a particular artist, theme, community or aspect of the museum and its collection, followed by an opportunity for visitors to ask their own questions. I’m pleased to say that I will be leading the Quick Chats this weekend and am looking forward to it. The schedule is:

Saturday, July 16:

  • 12:30 – Early Printmaking in Ulukhaktok
  • 4:30 – Transitions in Historic Period Art
Sunday, July 17:
  • 12:15 – Contemporary Sculptors
  • 1:45 – The Inuit Sea Goddess
  • 3:30 – Early Printmaking in Ulukhaktok
  • 4:45 – The Works of Abraham Anghik Ruben
If you have a topic you’d be interested in hearing about a particular piece, subject or artist, please let us know and we will do our best to schedule a chat reflecting your interests. We are also offering complimentary stencil printmaking this weekend so be sure to join us!
