Printmaking Workshop with Noah Maniapik

16 May

Noah presenting his finished print, "Our Food II".

On Saturday, May 14 the M. and G. Thiel Educational Centre here at MIA hosted a printmaking workshop with artist Noah Maniapik. Noah demonstrated stencil printmaking techniques while making a print titled “Our Food II”. Then, Noah made small “mini-prints” of polar bears and ulus (traditional womens’ knives) with our visitors. The workshop was a huge success: we had a great turnout and everyone’s prints looked amazing! Here are just a few of the photos from the event – you can see a lot more on our Facebook page.
